My paintings explore Black life through memory, place, and everyday experience. Drawing from personal photographs and lived experiences, I paint the people, neighborhoods, and moments that have shaped my understanding of home and identity. Whether depicting my childhood in Chicago or memories from family trips to Florida, I'm interested in how ordinary experiences become lasting memories.

Working primarily in oil and acrylic, I use color, texture, and observation to capture the feeling of a moment rather than simply document it. My paintings often blur the line between personal memory and shared experience, inviting viewers to find pieces of their own lives within the work.

At the heart of my practice is a desire to preserve the stories, places, and emotions that define everyday Black life. I hope my work feels familiar, honest, and lived in, creating space for reflection, connection, and recognition.
